Marcel is building products at the edge of AI, systems and design

That's what I care about. I come from design. What I actually like is variety — setting something up, improving it, not sitting inside a process I didn't choose. University and jobs taught me a lot. They also showed me that being only the person who executes isn't for me.

About

School, agency work, design jobs — I learned a lot. What they really showed me is how much I like having my own projects and seeing them through.

A normal role where I'm only the one executing doesn't hold me. I need different fields in the same week, and the room to set a process up and then improve it. Building the way of working is more interesting to me than following one.

Earlier there were a lot of ideas that never made it into doing. That gap is the thing I keep working on — in my head and in the product.

So I work on my own company now. Synora is the current project. The point stays the same: make something, run it, keep adjusting it.

What I do today

01

The product

Synora. Tasks go in, time gets blocked on the calendar. You see what you meant to do and what you actually did.

02

The work

Design, product, code, sales. I set things up and change them. No fixed lane — that's the point.

03

The bet

Keep building my own projects, and the company around them, instead of only executing someone else's.
